2007 International Awards The submission deadline for the 2007 International Awards Online submission process has been reached as of 2 March 2007 (11:59 PM EST). The 2007 International Awards for Nursing Excellence recognizes achievements in the fields of technology, media, chapter excellence, research and leadership. Submission deadline has been extended to 2 March 2007 (11:59pm EST). Award recipients will be honored at the honor society’s 39th Biennial Convention in Baltimore, Maryland on 3-7 November 2007. Click on the awards below to review the criteria in PDF format. Deadline for entries: Submission deadline has been extended to 2 March 2007 (11:59 PM EST). Exceptions: Chapter Key Award has a 16 July 2007 deadline. Entry Fee: Each award submission requires a US$45 entry fee. Entries can be submitted in more than one category but each submission requires the US$45 entry fee. Entry fees are non-refundable. NOTE: The fee structure for members outside the U.S. will be set according to World Bank classifications based on per capita income designated as low, middle and high. All fees paid to Headquarters, either by individual members or chapters, will be calculated in U.S. currency. The fee structure will be determined by the nominator’s residence. The fee structure for the Founders Awards will be based on the first nominator’s residence. Sliding Scale for the 2007 International Award Entry Fees High Income* = US$45 * These fee categories are based on a country’s GNI per capita as defined by World Bank Basic Indicators table. Updated July 2006 based on Country GNI for 2005 per World Bank; effective until July 2007. Eligibility: Membership is not a qualification for all awards. Members of the Honor Society of Nursing board of directors or staff are ineligible. Award criteria provide additional information. Self-nominations are accepted.
Group Entries: The following information of all contributors to a group entry will be requested through the online submission process: name, credentials, professional title, affiliation, member id number, chapter name, region, preferred mailing address, phone number (home and office) and email. All communications will be through the designated primary contact. It is the primary contact’s responsibility to communicate award information to fellow study contributors. Judging: Qualified judging panels representing strong talent and expertise are appointed. Notification: Nominees and recipients will be notified of the judges’ decisions by 1 July 2007. Primary contact will be the only person receiving communication from headquarters. The primary contact is responsible for notifying all team members and co-recipients. Exception: Notification for the Chapter Key Award will occur by 17 September 2007. Registration, Travel and related Expenses:
Presentation: All awards will be presented at the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International 39th Biennial Convention in Baltimore, Maryland on 3-7 November 2007. Specific award presentation information will be mailed to each recipient.
